Creator God, help us be present to the life that we have, to the world you have given us, and to all manner of our neighbors around us, as we learn to care for what we have instead of waiting for what might be. Help us to love as you love, right where we are. May we grow deep roots of gratefulness that will sustain us as we seek to care for our neighbor earth and all her inhabitants, including ourselves and our spaces. In the name of Jesus, who came in the flesh to this earth. Amen.

The Creation Care Justice Network, a growing band of Episcopalians across Massachusetts, invites you to engage in caring for creation throughout the year.

The Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts Creation Care Justice Network (CCJN) is a group of folks actively involved in creation care and climate issues. This group is developing “An Episcopal Path to Creation Justice” as a resource for Massachusetts congregations to use as they respond to the climate emergency with prayer, learning, action and advocacy.

At Church of the Advent, the Creation Care group invites all of us to learn, pray, act, and advocate for the care of our earthly island home, here in Medfield and beyond. As we engage together in this mission of creation care, we will make a difference in protecting and sustaining our earthly home for many future generations.

To quote from the Creation Care Justice Network website: “Whether you’re an experienced climate activist or just beginning to be concerned about the health of our soils, forests, water and air--to say nothing of the human and other-than-human creatures whose lives depend on them--we need your skills and input as we work together to protect the web of life that God entrusted to our care.”

Please share your resources, passions, and callings as we come together to act on climate change. Our creation care mission leaders are Kimberly Schubert, Jill Seiler-Moon, Christine Babson, and Ian Simoni. We would love to hear your ideas as we move this mission forward. Please join us; together, we can make a difference.
