Welcome to the candelabra extinguishing

Church of the Advent!

The Season of Lent brings us to a time of preparation for Easter by focusing on repentance, prayer, and good works.

This year we will be focusing on "The Way of Love" a program of developing a stronger relationship with God in Christ inspired by our Presiding Bishop Michael Curry.  The Prisiding Bishop will be doing his diocesan visitation in late April.  We will be using his study concentrating on Turn, Worship, Pray, Bless, Go, and Rest every Wednesday night in Lent.  Please join us for a soup supper and program at 6:30 in the parish hall.

The Advent is a loving and faithful community that  seeks to follow Jesus in our often chaotic modern  world.  We worship the Lord in the "beauty of  holiness" with a theologically rich liturgy and a warm,  joyful spirit.  I encourage you to make the Church of the Advent your new spiritual home.  We will all be better for your presence.

Further down the page you will find some important events in the life of the church.

Blessings,
