Welcome to the

Church of the Advent!

 Pageant 1 2017

The Season of Epiphany calls us to look for the light in our world and to see the ways that our loving God is moving in it.  Like the Magi who followed a distant star, we are called to leave our comfy surroundings and reach out to our neighbors.

The Jr. Youth Group and the Sunday school made winter soup mixes and baked cookies.  They have been delivering them to parishioners and neighbors following the example of the Magi visiting the baby Jesus.

We will finish this time before Lent with a pancake brunch with our annual pancake relay.

Our annual meeting, a great time to celebrate the life of the parish, will be February 10th.  This includes the annual "Rector's Chowder and Chili Challenge".  We hope you will join us.

The Advent is a loving and faithful community that  seeks to follow Jesus in our often chaotic modern  world.  We worship the Lord in the "beauty of  holiness" with a theologically rich liturgy and a warm,  joyful spirit.  I encourage you to make the Church of the Advent your new spiritual home.  We will all be better for your presence.

Further down the page you will find some important events in the life of the church.
